Delivery & Packaging

At Berry & Grouse, we're passionate about protecting your order—and the planet. Due to the wide variety of our products, especially our more delicate items, we use a selection of trusted couriers based on your location, delivery method, and the size and weight of your purchase. Our lampshades are double boxed for added protection, meaning even smaller shades may arrive in larger-than-expected packages.

As part of our eco-conscious packaging policy, we prioritise reusing materials wherever possible. Instead of sending packaging from our suppliers straight to recycling, we give it a second life—dramatically reducing the need for new packing materials. You may notice reused boxes, bubble wrap, or filler, all chosen to keep your items safe while reducing waste.

We also use 100% recyclable void fill cushioning inside boxes to protect fragile pieces during transit. This eco-friendly filler holds items securely in place, helping to prevent damage from handling or shipping.

Wondering about the cellophane wrap on our lampshades? It’s 100% biodegradable and recyclable—but if you'd prefer your lampshade without it, simply leave a note at checkout.

We encourage all customers to reuse or recycle our packaging whenever possible. Every small step helps reduce our environmental footprint and supports a more sustainable future.

Processing Time

We want to ensure you know exactly what to expect when placing an order with Berry & Grouse. Below is a breakdown of our current order processing times:

In Stock Items

All items marked as in stock are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days.

​

Handmade Items

Our handmade products – including lampshades, waste paper bins, scatter cushions, cushion inserts, draught excluders, and dog bed covers – are made to order. These items are usually processed and dispatched within 7–14 working days.

We aim to dispatch handmade items within 7 working days wherever possible. However, some pieces may take longer due to the nature of bespoke craftsmanship.

Printed-to-Order Fabrics

If your chosen fabric is printed to order, please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for dispatch, as this involves additional lead time from our supplier.

Items Fulfilled by External Companies

We carry limited stock of select items fulfilled by trusted external partners. Orders for these products are processed within 7 working days, subject to the supplier's stock levels.
If your order experiences a delay or cannot be fulfilled, we’ll notify you promptly. Any cancelled orders will be refunded in full.

If you're unsure about the processing time of a specific product, feel free to get in touch and we'll be happy to provide an estimated timeframe.

Delivery Days

Orders are delivered Monday to Saturday.
Please note: Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed, and are subject to the courier’s terms and conditions.

Standard Delivery (UK Mainland & Northern Ireland)

From the date of dispatch, please allow 3–7 working days for delivery.

​

Express Delivery

Need your order sooner? Express delivery is available upon request.

  • Delivered within 1–2 working days from dispatch.

  • Additional charges apply.

  • Availability is subject to postcode, parcel size, and weight restrictions.
    Please contact us prior to ordering to arrange express shipping.

Free Local Delivery

We offer free local delivery to addresses within 30km of our workshop.

  • Orders are delivered within 3–5 working days from dispatch.

  • Postcodes eligible for local delivery will be confirmed at checkout.

​

Republic of Ireland

Unfortunately, delivery to the Republic of Ireland is currently unavailable. We hope to resume this service soon.

Special Delivery Requests

For any special delivery requests or questions, feel free to contact us directly—we’re happy to help!

Once your order is complete, you’ll receive a dispatch confirmation email directly from Berry & Grouse, letting you know your items are on their way.

You’ll also receive a tracking email from the courier, containing all the relevant tracking information so you can follow your delivery.

Please note that delivery timeframes are estimated and subject to the courier’s terms and conditions. During busier periods, such as holidays or peak seasons, occasional delays may occur.

All quoted delivery dates are approximate, and while we do our best to ensure timely delivery, delivery times are not guaranteed.

Delivery Information

Please ensure all order details are correct before completing your purchase. If you need to make any changes, contact us immediately. Once your order has been dispatched, we are unable to make amendments.

Delivery Address & Special Instructions

Double-check your delivery address to avoid any delays. At checkout, you can add special delivery instructions such as:

  • A safe place to leave your parcel

  • A preferred neighbour to leave it with

  • Your what3words location to assist the courier

We will pass these instructions along to the delivery service.

Specific Day Delivery

If you need your order delivered on a specific date, please get in touch with us to arrange this in advance. Additional charges apply for:

  • Timed or Day-Slot Deliveries

Missed Deliveries

If your parcel is returned to us because you were unable to accept or arrange delivery, return shipping costs will apply. Berry & Grouse is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries once dispatched.

Delivery Regions & Charges

UK Mainland & Northern Ireland
Standard delivery is available across the UK Mainland and Northern Ireland. Please note exceptions apply to remote locations—see below.

Highlands & Islands
Extra charges may apply for deliveries to:

  • Northern Scotland (Postcodes: IV2–IV28, PH10–PH44, PA20–PA29, KA27–KA28)

  • Scottish Islands

  • Isle of Wight

  • Isle of Man

These additional costs reflect courier surcharges for remote regions.

British Islands & Northern Ireland
Orders to the British Islands and Ireland may incur additional delivery charges. Due to Brexit, all shipments to Ireland and Northern Ireland are now classed as exports, and customs clearance is required. Buyers are responsible for any VAT, customs duties, or import fees.

Ireland & International Orders

We’ve temporarily suspended deliveries to Ireland. Due to the delicate nature of some items, we do not currently offer international shipping.

​

Import Duties & Taxes

If you’re ordering for delivery outside the UK (only with prior consent from Berry & Grouse), please note:

  • Import duties, VAT, and taxes may apply at the destination

  • The buyer is responsible for all such charges

  • From January 2021, this includes Northern Ireland

We recommend contacting your local customs office for details before placing your order.

It is your responsibility to comply with local laws and regulations regarding the importation of goods. Berry & Grouse is not liable for any issues arising from non-compliance.
