The Nouveau Heron design was inspired by the heron that circles the moat at Chateau de la Motte Husson. It has an Art Deco feel, with it's dark navy background and accents of white and orange.
In Japanese culture, the heron represents a noble, graceful appearance and is a sign of purity. It is also known as the bird of happiness. Surrounded by a beautiful moat, The Chateau is the perfect backdrop for such an elegant and symbolic creature. Nouveau Heron combines this elegance and symbolism in a design which encapsulates these qualities to perfection.
We are very lucky to be surrounded by a moat. Not only is it peaceful and full of fish, but every morning a heron perches on a rock and eats our fish. Dorothy has taken a real liking to our adopted heron, often shouting at the top of her voice the heron... the heron! It often flies off at this point, but we all run to the window to see it in flight!
